This Technical Sales position requires a constructive and energetic style, guided by an annual sales initiatives plan and company sales goals. This position is responsible for the development, coordination, hands on direct and indirect sales with an assigned group of accounts coupled with new account exploration in the Oregon and Utah areas and serves as a technical adviser to customers on product use. Must be analytical, have strong problem solving skills, excellent communication (both written and verbal), a strong technical skill in the field of composites, and have the ability to learn details of new products.

SAMPLE FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBIITIES:

  • Generates sales leads, follows up on referrals, and qualify potential customers.
  • Works with Regional Sales Manager to establish and implement targeted sales opportunities, build quotes for current and new accounts within targeted account groups or product segments.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers and suppliers through regular calls (phone and in-person), timely follow-up, and networking at industry/business events and sales meetings.
  • Provides sales assistance to customers by engaging internal and external resources; including identifying product opportunities.
  • Submit call reports in a timely manner following company protocol.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years sales experience with a proven track record of sales success and an understanding of the composites industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience in sales, business, or marketing.

Must be able to work in fast paced and intense environment. Must be able to move quickly throughout workday, fast paced “now” environment.
