and understood. Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. – No smoking. Keep
container tightly closed. Ground/bond container and receiving equipment. Use explosion-proof
electrical/ventilating/lighting equipment. Use only non-sparking tools. Take precautionary
measures against static discharge. Do not breathe mist or vapor. Wash thoroughly after handling.
Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye
protection/face protection.
Response If swallowed: Immediately call a poison center/doctor. Do NOT induce vomiting. If on skin (or hair):
Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. If skin irritation
occurs: Get medical advice/attention. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If inhaled:
Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a poison center/doctor if you
feel unwell. If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if
present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. If

4. First-aid measures
Move into fresh air and keep at rest. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical attention if
discomfort develops or persists.
Inhalation
Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing
and shoes. Wash clothing separately before reuse. Get medical attention. Destroy or thoroughly
clean contaminated shoes.
Skin contact
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if
present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention.
Eye contact
DO NOT induce vomiting. If victim is fully conscious, give a cupful of water. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person. If vomiting occurs, keep head lower than the hips to help prevent
aspiration. Call a physician or poison control center immediately.
Ingestion
Irritant effects. Central nervous system depression. May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
Prolonged exposure may cause chronic effects.
Most important
symptoms/effects, acute and
delayed
Keep victim warm. Keep victim under observation. Symptoms may be delayed.Indication of immediate
medical attention and special
treatment needed
Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash contaminated clothing before
re-use. Ensure that medical personnel are aware of the material(s) involved, and take precautions
to protect themselves. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.
General information
5. Fire-fighting measures
Water. Water spray. Foam. Dry powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2).Suitable extinguishing media
Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.Unsuitable extinguishing
media
Material will float and may ignite on surface of water. Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air.
Vapors are heavier than air and may travel along the floor and in the bottom of containers. Vapors
may be ignited by a spark, a hot surface or an ember.
Specific hazards arising from
the chemical
Wear full protective clothing, including helmet, self-contained positive pressure or pressure
demand breathing apparatus, protective clothing and face mask.
Special protective equipment
and precautions for firefighters
Move containers from fire area if you can do so without risk. Cool containers with flooding
quantities of water until well after fire is out.
Fire fighting
equipment/instructions
Highly flammable liquid and vapor. Heat may cause the containers to explode.General fire hazards
6. Accidental release measures
Keep unnecessary personnel away. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages
cannot be contained. Keep out of low areas. Ventilate closed spaces before entering them. Do not
touch damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing.
Personal precautions,
protective equipment and
emergency procedures

Extinguish all flames in the vicinity. Remove sources of ignition. Should not be released into the
environment. Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas.
Large Spills: Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk. Dike the spilled material, where this is
possible. Use a non-combustible material like vermiculite, sand or earth to soak up the product
and place into a container for later disposal. Following product recovery, flush area with water.
Small Spills: Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece). Clean surface thoroughly to
remove residual contamination.
Never return spills in original containers for re-use. This material and its container must be
disposed of as hazardous waste.
Methods and materials for
containment and cleaning up
Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not contaminate water.Environmental precautions
7. Handling and storage
Obtain special instructions before use. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read
and understood. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Use only with adequate ventilation.
Avoid breathing mist or vapor. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Pregnant women should
not work with the product, if there is the least risk of exposure. When using, do not eat, drink or
smoke. Do not taste or swallow. Wash thoroughly after handling.
Precautions for safe handling
Follow rules for flammable liquids. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Keep in a
well-ventilated place. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep away from food, drink and animal
feeding stuffs.

Good general ventilation (typically 10 air changes per hour) should be used. Ventilation rates
should be matched to conditions. If applicable, use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation,
or other engineering controls to maintain airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. If
exposure limits have not been established, maintain airborne levels to an acceptable level. Use
explosion-proof equipment. Provide easy access to water supply and eye wash facilities.
Appropriate engineering
controls
Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment
Wear approved safety glasses or goggles. Wear face shield if there is risk of splashes.Eye/face protection
Skin protection
Wear protective gloves. Suitable gloves can be recommended by the glove supplier.Hand protection
Skin protection
Wear suitable protective clothing.Other
If engineering controls do not maintain airborne concentrations below recommended exposure
limits (where applicable) or to an acceptable level (in countries where exposure limits have not
been established), an approved respirator must be worn. In the United States of America, if
respirators are used, a program should be instituted to assure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR
1910.134. Respirator type: Air-purifying respirator with an appropriate, government approved
(where applicable), air-purifying filter, cartridge or canister.
Respiratory protection
Wear appropriate thermal protective clothing, when necessary.Thermal hazards
Always observe good personal hygiene measures, such as washing after handling the material
and before eating, drinking, and/or smoking. Routinely wash work clothing and protective
equipment to remove contaminants.
