3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
THE HEALTH EFFECTS NOTED BELOW ARE CONSIS TENT WITH REQUIREMENT UNDER THE OSHA
COMMUNICATION STANDARD (29 CFR 1910.1200)
Potential effects of health:

INHALATION (BREATHING): N/A because it is a Paste Product.

EYE CONTACT: Product is minimally irritating to the eyes.

CONTACT OF THE SKIN: Prolonged or repeated contact may result in de-fatting and drying of the skin.

INGESTION: Ingestion of product may result in vomiting; aspiration (breathing) of vomitus into the lungs must
be avoided as even small quantities may result in aspiration pneumonitis.

GENERAL ADVISE: In case of accident or if you feel sick from exposure, seek medical attention immediately
(Show the label to physician if possible).

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes while holding eyelids open. Get medical
Attention immediately.

SKIN CONTACT: Remove contaminated clothing and wipe excess form skin. Prolonged or repeated contact
may result in de-fatting and dry of the skin. Wash with soap and water. If irritation occurs, get medical
attention.

INGESTION: Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep head
below hips to prevent aspiration. This material can enter the lungs and cause damage. If victim is drowsy or
unconscious, place on left side with head down. Get medical attention.

INHALATION: N/A Paste Wax.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
FLAMMABLE PROPERTIES : Flash point: >98 F Pensky – Master Closed Cup.

FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Containers exposed to intense heat from fires should be cooled with
water to prevent vapor pressure buildup which could result in container rupture.

FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Do not enter confided fire space without full bunker gear, including positive
NIOSH approved self-contained apparatus. Cool fire exposed container with water.

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use water, fog, foam, dry chemical or CO2. Do not use a direct stream of water.

FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective suit.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

LAND SPILL: Eliminate potential source of ignition. Recover all material possible.
GREAT SPILLINGS: Use same procedure as for land spills.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING: Wash hands after using. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothes. (See Section 8 additional
information).

STORAGE: Keep containers closed when not in use. Material should be stored at temperatures between 40 F
and 95 F. Do not store with strong oxidizing agents. Avoid excessive heat.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS /PERSONAL PROTECTION
CONTROL MEASURES: Follow commonsense, good house keeping procedures.
RESPIRATOR PROTECTION: Normally not required. Adequate ventilation recommended.

EYE PROTECTION: Normally not required.

CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT : Normally not required. Impermeable gloves can prevent skin irritation.

OTHER PROTECTION: Place eye bath and safety shower near work area.

COMPONENT: Aliphatic Hydrocarbon: SKIN, Product on mouse skin twice a week for 12 months, resulted in
an increased incident of skin tumors. Applied to the skin of female rats at 494,330 or 165 mg/kg daily for 7
consecutive weeks (pre-mating, mating and gestation) for 8 consecutive weeks in males did no result in
systemic, reproductive, or developmental toxicity.
