3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
THE HEALTH EFFECTS NOTED BELOW ARE CONSISTENT WITH REQUIREMENT UNDER THE OSHA
COMMUNICATION STANDARD (29 CFR 1910.1200)
Potential effects of health:
INHALATION: N/A – Minimal
EYE CONTACT: Product is minimally irritating to the eyes. High vapor concentrations may cause irritation.
CONTACT OF THE SKIN: Prolonged contact may cause deffating of the skin. Other wise minimal.
INGESTION: Ingestion of product may result in vomiting; aspiration (breathing) of vomitus into the lungs must
be avoided as even small quantities may result in aspiration pneumonitis.
NOTE: In case of accident or if you feel sick from exposure, seek medical attention immediately (Shows the
label if possible).
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes while holding eyelids open. Get medical
attention
SKIN CONTACT: Flush skin with water, follow by washing with soap and water. If irritation occurs, get
medical attention.
INGESTION: Do not induce vomiting or give anything by mouth. This material can enter the lungs and cause
damage. If victim is drowsy or unconscious, place on left side with head down. Do not leave victim
unattended. Seek medical attention.
INHALATION: Remove victim to fresh air, and provide oxygen if breathing is difficult. Get medical attention.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
FLAMMABLE PROPERTIES: Flash point: 138 F TCC
FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Minimal
FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Normal, use water foam & fog.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Use water fog, foam, dry chemical or CO2. do not use a direct stream of water.
FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective suit.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
LAND SPILL: Evacuate the area. Recover all material possible. Soak up residue with absorbent like sand or
clay. Wash the remainder with water. Avoid direct discharge into natural channels. Transport contaminated
water to be processed to municipal water treatment center.
