MARINE LAMINATING RESIN
The AO 80LM-2 system is an acrylated, clear laminating epoxy particularly suitable for wetting out and bonding wood.
The system yields an increased cross link density making it especially suitable for lightweight, high performance
composites using a variety of reinforcements. Three hardeners are available, 80LM-2B (rapid)
80LM-3B (standard) and 80LM-7B (slow)
USES
Lightweight composites up to 200 F
above and below the water line
Hand lay up, vacuum bagging and
RTM application
Systems where very light color is
required
Repair applications, laminating,
bonding, fairing or sealing
PERFORMANCE BENEFITS
Superior fatigue and toughness
properties
Good adhesion to fabrics, core
materials, wood and metal
Good moisture exclusion Excellent wet out and air release
CURING AO 80LM-2 SYSTEMS
AO 80LM-2 system mixes maintain good working properties until gelation takes place. Under some circumstances the
mixture may cure to a brittle B stage, but will temper to full cure over the next 48hours at room temperature.
Minimum cure temperature is 65 F/19 C for the Rapid and Slow hardener. The system reaches maximum ambient cure
after seven days at room temperature. Curing for three hours at 180 F/82 C will lead to a further improvement in the
cured system properties.

Company
MARINE LAMINATING RESIN
The AO 80LM-2 system is an acrylated, clear laminating epoxy particularly suitable for wetting out and bonding wood.
The system yields an increased cross link density making it especially suitable for lightweight, high performance
composites using a variety of reinforcements. Three hardeners are available, 80LM-2B (rapid)
80LM-3B (standard) and 80LM-7B (slow)
USES
Lightweight composites up to 200 F
above and below the water line
Hand lay up, vacuum bagging and
RTM application
Systems where very light color is
required
Repair applications, laminating,
bonding, fairing or sealing
PERFORMANCE BENEFITS
Superior fatigue and toughness
properties
Good adhesion to fabrics, core
materials, wood and metal
Good moisture exclusion Excellent wet out and air release
CURING AO 80LM-2 SYSTEMS
AO 80LM-2 system mixes maintain good working properties until gelation takes place. Under some circumstances the
mixture may cure to a brittle B stage, but will temper to full cure over the next 48hours at room temperature.
Minimum cure temperature is 65 F/19 C for the Rapid and Slow hardener. The system reaches maximum ambient cure
after seven days at room temperature. Curing for three hours at 180 F/82 C will lead to a further improvement in the
cured system properties.
