Typical ApplicationsProduct Description
AX-5201FR is a 250 F (121 C) curing
epoxy carbon prepreg designed to
produce composite components using
either vacuum bag oven or autoclave
cure cycles. The prepreg system is ideal
for multi-ply laminates requiring a
cosmetic finish, flame retardance, and
high strength and damage tolerance.
Parts built with AX-5201FR exhibit good
high thermal and UV stability as well as
resistance to water and industrial fluids.
AX-5201FR is provided with high tack for
the layup of contoured components. The
recommended service temperature
envelope for AX-5201FR is -67 (-55 C) to
300 F (149 C).
AX-5201FR is available on virtually all
woven carbon fabric styles (e.g.282,
284, 622, 670, etc.) and at virtually any
requested resin content.
Standard resin content:
40% by weight (284 style / 3K 2×2 twill)
Standard tack: High
Coating: One side or two side tack
Color: available in clear, light black, or
dark black grades

Temperature heat up and cool down
