PRODUCT INFORMATION

M723A CHOPPED STRAND MAT
FOR DEMANDING APPLICATIONS

DESCRIPTION
M723A is a fine fiber and medium bundle Tex chopped strand mat that produces a good surface
finish while still maintaining fast wetting properties. It is multi-chop length construction results in
improved conformability while still maintaining exceptional mechanical properties. The M723A
chemistry is multi-resin compatible.
BENEFITS
Quick wetting and rapid air release: Maximizes molding productivity by reducing the labour
required to roll out product.
Excellent weight uniformity: Translates to more consistent customer product uniformity.
Exceptional wet tensile strength: Well suited for pre-wetting (“wet and carry”) applications.
Superior glass bonding: Excellent dry handling characteristics and minimal fiber shedding.
Externally Certified: Lloyd s Register of Shipping and Det Norsk Veritas.
Superior corrosion resistance with Advantex Glass compared to standard E-glass:
Advantex Glass helps with enhanced life and service life strength in applications facing
corrosion. For additional information on Advantex glass use the link below:

APPLICATIONS
M723A is a versatile product that is well suited for very demanding applications including:
Hand lay-up open mold for boat hulls particularly those involving “wet and carry”
processes
Automated matched metal die closed molds for automotive load floors
Flat sheet lamination for RV and truck panels

STORAGE
Unless otherwise specified, it is recommended to store glass fiber products in a cool, dry area. The best conditions are at a temperature
between 10 C and 35 C and a relative humidity between 35% and 85%. The glass fiber products must remain in their original packaging
material until the point of usage. If the storage temperature is below 15 C, it is recommend that the product be stored in the workshop,
within its original packaging, at least 24 hours prior to use to prevent condensation. The packaging is not waterproof. Be sure to protect
the product from the weather and other sources of water. When stored properly, there is no known shelf life to the product, but
retesting is advised after three years from the initial production date to insure optimum performance.

Flexibility and excellent conformability make NL20 possible to
be easily integrated into fast production cycles.
This product can be processed by hand layup, vacuum bagging
and infusion processes and will withstand manufacturing
temperatures up to 150 C.
The unique properties of NL20 such as: a closed air filled cell
structure, low water absorption, rot resistance and high level of
noise and vibration attenuation make it an excellent material
for to the composites industry – perfectly aligned with the new
green classi cations.
