TR-920 is a high-temp multiple capability semi-permanent release coating which cures under atmospheric conditions,

APPLICATION: Always use and apply with a clean, lint-free all cotton cloth (no synthetic blends). Clean mold surface
thoroughly of all previous release agents and sealers using the TR-905 mold prep solvent. Mold surface should be completely dry and free of any contaminates. Apply TR-920 by wiping a thin wet coat onto a small area (approx. 3 x 3
ft.) of the mold surface starting at an end point of the mold. While the release film is still wet, wipe gently with another clean, dry, cotton cloth, turning and changing cloths as required for proper drying. Avoid excessive hard rubbing or
wiping of the treated surface, which ensures a more uniform and effective film deposit. Apply each subsequent release coat overlapping the previous small area until complete mold surface is covered. Repeat this for 3-4 coats to the entire
mold waiting 15-20 minutes between coats. Cure time of the final release film at room temperature (75 F/24 C ) is
approximately 30 minutes. Additional touch-up coat is recommended for the first 2-3 initial releases to maximize mold
conditioning and durability. When spraying, use a dry air source or airless spray, applying in a thin continuous smooth
film, avoiding excess flooding or runs. Polish wipe with a clean, dry, cotton cloth as noted in wipe application.
NOTE: Recommend use of TR-910 SEALER on new or repaired molds, more porous or rough mold surfaces for
maximum performance of the 900 SERIES MULT-PULL RELEASES.

REGULAR COMPOUND
MEDIUM CUTTING PASTE

DESCRIPTION:
TR-309 is a medium coarse off-white paste compound developed specifically for light oxidation and sanding scratch
removal on polyester gel-coats.

PRODUCT FEATURES:
Fast cutting action for quick effective removal light sanding marks
Good initial gloss achieved on finished parts when sanding for minor defect repair
Remains moist while buffing with less spotting and drying
Restores gloss to lightly oxidized & weathered finishes
Contains no silicones or waxes
Economically priced

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
Specific Gravity: 1.23 (10.25lbs./Gal)
Viscosity: soft paste water/petroleum emulsion blend
Color: off-white

USES:
To provide good initial uniform gloss while removing sanding scratches (600g-800g), light oxidation and minor
surface imperfections on all gel coated finishes.

APPLICATION:
Apply TR-309 to gel-coated surface and spread evenly. Using a high speed electric variable speed buffer equipped
with all wool twisted buffing pad set buffer speed to 2,400 RPM for best results. Work in a 2 x 2 overlapping
surface area using medium pressure to keep surface moist to avoid drying out and burnishing. As polish begins to
dry gradually reduce buffing pressure to achieve a smooth uniform gloss appearance. Use a buffing spur to clean
pad frequently during use to remove excess compound build up.

NOTE:
For optimum results polish with TR-308 Fine Finish II to achieve a high gloss mirror like swirl free finish after using
TR-309 regular compound.

maintain one year shelf life stability.

HI-TEMP MOLD RELEASE

DESCRIPTION:
An industry standard premium paste release for use in higher exothermic applications. Formulated using only the
highest quality refined carnauba wax, blended with other high temperature synthetic waxes and additives producing
the highest quality mold release wax for the composites market.

PRODUCT FEATURES:
Ease of application and removal may be allowed to stand before polishing
Provides hard film with superior heat and chemical properties
Polishes to high gloss without streaking
Reduced wax build-up and styrene accumulation

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
Dry Time: 5-10 minutes@ 72 F. Varies depending on working temperature
Wax Melting or Softening Point: 195 – 210 F (88 – 99 C)
Penetration Hardness: 1 at 25 C (carnauba wax)

APPLICATION:
On new or reconditioned tooling, suggest use of our sealer glaze TR -301 or TR-910 semi-permanent sealer prior to
waxing for added release, gloss and mold life. Apply wax with sponge applicator in thin even circular motion to the mold
surface. Allow to haze dry (approx. 5-10 min) depending on ambient temperature and polish wipe to gloss finish with soft
cloth (do not use microfiber cloth). For new or reconditioned molds, apply a minimum of 6 coats of paste wax, waiting
approximately 30-60 minutes between applications for the wax to set & harden after the polish wipe. Best results are
obtained, if after application, mold is allowed to stand overnight and a subsequent final coat of wax release applied the
following day prior to gel coating. Follow with a coat of wax for the first 2-3 parts released. Then determine how many
parts can be effectively produced before re-waxing is required. This will vary depending on molding condition,
configuration, resin, mold cycles, effective cure of production gel coat and other factors.

REGULAR MOLD RELEASE

DESCRIPTION:
A high production paste wax mold release with excellent breakdown characteristics for fast, even coverage. A firm
carnauba based mold release paste wax blended with other synthetic waxes for use in various thermo-set composite
molding applications.

APPLICATION:
Clean mold surface thoroughly of all previous sealers and release agents using TR-905 mold prep solvent. Light
abrasive compounding may be necessary to remove the various types of release agents or sealers previously used.
After compounding, first water wash and wipe dry to remove compound residue. Then completely clean the mold
surface with TR-905 mo ld prep solvent.

Apply a thin wet film to mold surfaces either by wipe or spray. Use an ALL-COTTON cloth when wiping to avoid possible
binders in other fabrics dissolving from solvent carriers. Use an airless spray unit or a dry air source when spraying
holding spray nozzle approximately 8-10 inches from mold surface. Start at one end of a mold working small areas or
sections to the other end ensuring a thin wet film is applied to entire mold surface. Secondary polish step is not required.
If desired gloss is reduced after application, lightly polish with 100% cotton cloth after final coat.

For initial break-in, apply 3-5 coats. Allow 5-10 minutes between each application and 10-15 minutes after final
application for solvent release and cure. Recoat for the first 2 -3 initial pulls or de- molding to aid full conditioning and
mold life. Recoat will vary depending upon mold design or materials. Apply again at first sign of release difficulties. Use
the TR-910 sealer if mold surface is porous, less smooth, or to provide improved initial release on new or green and
repaired molds.

Cure Time: Approx. 5-10min. between coats and 10-15 min after final coat at room temp (75 F)
Appearance: Clear colorless with characteristic odor
Cure Method: Chemical reaction with atmospheric moisture following solvent evaporation

NOTE: Do not apply subsequent coats until complete solvent evaporation of prior coat.

STORAGE AND PRECAUTIONS:
TR-930HS contains flammable solvents. Keep away from spark, open flame or other sources of ignition. Store in a cool
dry place and keep in original un-opened container. Product will react with atmospheric moisture and container should
be kept tightly closed when not in use. Avoid creating static discharge, do not use microfiber cloth.

DESCRIPTION:
A soft white compounded wax based on refined petroleum waxes. Leaves no discoloration to molded
parts and contains no silicones.

PRODUCT FEATURES:
Easy spreading and wipe characteristics
Provides positive releases, remains soft and ease of removal
Effectively fills rough surfaces and is PVA compatible
Good thermal stability with reduced build up

USES:
For all mold flanges, edges and hats in cultured marble, onyx or granite production, FRP Tubs, showers,
spa fabrication, polymer concrete and general polyester molding applications. Any surface where gloss
or cosmetics is not a critical requirement for finished part. Sealer on porous substrates for prototypes and
mock-ups or in conjunction with PVA sprayed film.

APPLICATION:
Apply a minimum of two coats with brush or cloth allowing each coat to dry prior to applying additional
coats. This provides a base film for initial release. Apply again lightly after first part is pulled and then
subsequent coats as needed. Applications will vary dependent on surface conditions, molding cycle,
fabrication methods and general shop practices.
