2.HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Probalsa wood is deemed non -hazardous as defined by OSHA Hazard
Communication Standard 29 CFR1910.1200
Wood dust, a by-product generated from sawing, sanding or machining wood
and wood products, is considered hazardous and is regulated under the
Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200.
3.COMPOSITION / INFORMATION ON INGRE DIENTS
ProBalsa wood is a naturally renewable resource from Balsa trees that have
been trimmed and shaped to provide sheets of end grain wood.
4.FIRST-AID MEASURES
ProBalsa wood is a non -hazardous material. Wood dust can be generated
during the process of sawing, sanding or machining ProBalsa. Wood dust is
hazardous according to OSHA Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200
Inhalation: In mild cases of balsa dust inhalation, remove affected
person from the area and into fresh air. In extreme cases,
when breathing is h indered or stopped, immediately call
emergency medical services. If breathing is hindered, give
oxygen. If breathing is stopped administer CPR.
Skin contact: Do not blow off dust, wash with soap and water.
Eye contact: Flush with large quantities of water, including upper and
lower eyelids. Seek medical attention if irritation
persists.
Ingestion: Due to material form and appli cation, ingestion is
considered unlikely. It May result in irritation of the
digestive tract.
