INT-1888LE Internal Mold Release

Product Description: An
internal mold release that
improves release, flow, fiber
wet-out, and raises Tg when
compared to other internal
release agents.

Use: Product of choice for a
variety of epoxy systems
where added release and
resin flow are important.
Excels for both molded and
pultrusion applications. Also
works in many b-staged
prepreg applications utilizing
epoxies and cyanate ester.
Composition:
Proprietary synergistic
blend comprised of
modified polymers,
organic fatty acids,
esters, and waxes.

Handling: Please be
sure to read the SDS
and follow all
precautions including
appropriate PPE
necessary to handle this
product safely. Keep
tightly sealed while not
in use. Mix well before
use.

FEATURES:
Works for both pultrusion,
molded applications, and
pre-preg
Enhances resin flow
Easy to use-simply add to
resin
Increases Tg versus other
internals
Improves bonding and
paintability
Improves line speed in
Pultrusion applications

Application Instructions:
For best results, laboratory tests or pre-production
trials should determine the optimum addition level.
MoldWiz process aid additives are effective within a
range of .5 to 3 parts per 100 resin by weight,
excluding reinforcements, pigments and fillers. High
amounts of filler and/or different processing
conditions may require a higher percentage of
process aid additives than the indicated maximum.
Start an evaluation at 15 parts per 100 (1.5%). It is
recommended to conduct testing prior to using in a
production environment. Some testing that can be
conducted.
Gel test
Gel to Peak time
Peak exotherm
Hardness (Shore A, D, or Barcol as examples)
Mixing: For two or more part thermoset resins, mix
the process aid additive in the less viscous or less
reactive side before catalyzing. INT-1888LE is
miscible in most epoxy systems. When possible, also
mix any fillers or other additives into the resin and
mix well prior to adding the INT-1888LE.

Review SDS before use.
