MoldPreparation
Cleaning:
Moldsurfacesmustbethor ghlycleanedanddried.Alltraces
ofpriorreleasemustberemoved.Thismaybeaccomplished
byusing Frekote
PMCorothersuitablecleaner. Frekote
915WB orlightabrasivescanbeusedforheavybuild-up.
SealingNew/RepairedMolds:
Occasionally,greenorfreshlyrepairedmoldsarerushedinto
servicepriortocompletecurecausinganincreasedam ntof
freestyreneonthemoldsurface.Freshor”productionline”
repairs,newfiberglassandepoxymoldssh ldbecuredper
manufacturer’sinstructions,usuallyaminimumof2-3weeks
at22 Cbeforestartingfull-scaleproduction.Fullycured
previ slyunusedmoldssh ldbesealedbeforeuse.This
canbeaccomplishedbyapplyingonetotwocoatsof an
appropriate Frekote
moldsealer, followingthedirectionsfor
useinstructions. AllowfullcureoftheappropriateFrekote
moldsealerbeforey applythefirstcoatofLOCTITE
FREKOTE700-NC as tlinedinthedirectionsofuse.
Directionsforuse:
1.LOCTITE
FREKOTE700-NC canbeappliedtomold
surfacesatromtemperatureupto135 Cbyspraying,
brushingorwipingwithacleanlint-free,cloth.When
sprayingensureadryairs rceisusedoruseanairless
spraysystem.Alwaysuseinawellventilatedarea.
2.Wipeorsprayonasmoth,thin,continu s,wet
film. Avoidwipingorsprayingoverthesameareathat
wasjustcoateduntilthesolventhasevaporated.If
spraying,holdnozzle20 to30cmfrommoldsurface.Itis
suggestedthatsmallareasbecoated,working
progressivelyfromonesideofthemoldtotheother.
3.Initially,apply2 to3basecoatsallowing5 to10 minutes
betweencoatsforsolventevaporation .
4.Allowthefinalcoattocurefor15 to20minutesat22 C.
5.Maximumreleaseswillbeobtainedasthemoldsurface
becomesconditionedtoLOCTITE
FREKOTE700-NC
. Performancecanbe enhancedbyre-coatingonce,after
thefirstfewinitialpulls.
6.Whenanyreleasedifficultyisexperienced,theareain
questioncanbe”t ched-up”byre-coatingtheentire
moldsurfaceorjustthoseareaswherereleasedifficultyis
occurring.
7.NOTE: LOCTITE
FREKOTE700-NC ismoisture
sensitive,keepcontainertightlyclosedwhennotinuse.
Theproductsh ldalwaysbeusedinawellventilated
area.
8.Precaution: Usersofclosedmoldsystems(rotomolding)
mustbecertainthatsolventevaporationiscompleteand
thatallsolventvaporshavebeenventilatedfromthemold
cavitypriortoclosingthemold.Anoil-freecompressedair
s rcecanbeusedtoassistinevaporationofsolvents
andventilationofthemoldcavity.

location. Storageinformationmayalsobeindicatedonthe
productcontainerlabelling.

Materialremovedfromcontainersmaybecontaminatedduring
