MoldPreparation
Cleaning:
Moldsurfacesmustbethor ghlycleanedanddried.Alltraces
ofpriorreleasemustberemoved.Thismaybeaccomplished
byusing Frekote
PMCorothersuitablecleaner. Frekote
915WB orlightabrasivescanbeusedforheavybuild-up.
SealingNew/RepairedMolds:
Fullycuredunusedmoldssh ldbesealedbeforeuse.This
canbeaccomplishedbyapplying4additionalcoatsof
LOCTITE

repairs,newfiberglassandepoxymoldssh ldbecuredper
manufacturer’sinstructions,usuallyaminimumof2-3weeks
at22 Cbeforestartingfull-scaleproduction.Occasionally,
greenorfreshlyrepairedmoldsarerushedintoservicepriorto
completecurecausinganincreasedam ntoffreestyreneon
themoldsurface.Theseareasofthemoldsurfacew ldbe
consideredextremelygreenduetotheshortcuretimeandwill
requiretheextrastyrenesealingcapabilityofFrekote Mold
Sealer.Sealingmaybeaccomplishedbywiping2-3coatsof
Frekote
MoldSealer ontotherepairedarea(s). Allowfullcure
oftheappropriateFrekote
moldsealerbeforey applythe
firstcoatofLOCTITE
Frekote WOLO as tlinedinthe
directionsofuse.
Directionsforuse:
1.ApplyLOCTITE
Frekote WOLO withaclean,lintfree,
cottonwipingcloth.WettheclothwithLOCTITE
Frekote WOLO untilitisdampbutnotdripping.
2.Wipeasmoth,wetfilmovertheentiremoldsurface.For
largermolds,applyLOCTITE
Frekote WOLO tothe
surfaceonesectionatatimestartingatoneendand
workingtowardstheother.Continuetoworkthematerial
intothemoldbylightlywipingthewetfilm(10-30
seconds)untilathinanduniformcoatingisobtained,and
thenallowtheproducttoevaporate.
3.Allowaminimumof5minutesbeforeapplyingnextcoat.
Applyaminimumoff rcoatsinthismanner.Dampen
clothlightlyasneeded.
4.Allowthefinalcoattocurefor15minutesat20 C.
5.NOTE: Iftheclothdries tduringy rcoatingprocess,
useafreshcleanclothtoapplythenextcoat.This
preventsresinaccumulationontheclothfrombeing
depositedonthemoldsurface.Ifstreakingoccurs,
replacetheclothwithacleandryoneand/ormakesure
thattheclothisjustdampandnotsoakingwet.Avoid
over-application,asthiswillcausestreakingonthetoling
surface.Streaksorwipelinescanberemovedeasilyby
wipingthemoldsurfacelightlywithadrycloth.Productis
moisturesensitive,keepcontainertightlyclosedwhennot
inuse.
6.NOTE: Formaximumnumberofreleases,applyat ch
upcoatafterthefirst2-3partsarereleasedasabreakin
periodaftertheinitialapplication.Ondeeporhighwear
areas,applyanextra1-2coatsofLOCTITE
Frekote WOLO .Thiswillhelpincreasetheslipeven
furtherinthesehighdragareas.
MoldTouchup
Abrasionwillgraduallycausewearandpartswillbeginto
adheretothemoldsurfaceifacontinu sreleasefilmisnot
maintained.It’sbesttoalwayst ch-upthemoldatthefirst

signofdiminishedrelease,beforereleasebecomesdifficult.
Simplyt ch-uptheentiremoldorapplyspott ch-upstohigh
wearareasfollowingsteps1-3underdirectionsforuse.Only1
coatisusuallyrequiredfort ch-up.Typically,15 minutescure
timeisrequiredpriortoresumptionofmolding.

Theproductisclassifiedasflammableandmustbestoredin
anappropriatemannerincompliancewithrelevant
regulations. Donotstorenearoxidizingagentsorcombustible
materials. Storeproductintheunopenedcontainerinadry
location. Storageinformationmayalsobeindicatedonthe
productcontainerlabelling.

Materialremovedfromcontainersmaybecontaminatedduring
