SB 432
ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE
(ATH)

DESCRIPTION

SB-432 ATH developed especially for SMC, BMC, resin injection and high solids coatings, has a unique particle
size distribution that provides the best possible combination of viscosity, flame, electrical and molding
properties that can be derived from an ATH filler. A closely controlled top size with a large super fine faction
yields rapid dispersion in resin. Excellent mold flow and wet-out characteristics result in superior surface
profile, minimal porosity, even pigmentation, and excellent filler and reinforcement distribution throughout
the molded part.

Product Details Regulatory Info/SDS
Product Description
3M PTFE Skived Film Tape 5480 offers an extremely low coefficient of friction which, in combination with a pressure
sensitive silicone adhesive, creates a smooth, non-stick surface over a variety of substrates to assist in the movement of
web materials in many types of roll-wrap applications
Product Features
Skived 3M PTFE Film Tapes are more conformable than typical extruded PTFE film tapes.
Provides excellent chemical resistance except to organic solvents. Note: The silicone adhesive will be attacked by
commercial organic solvents and so are not recommended for applications requiring organic resistance.
Silicone adhesive provides clean removal from a variety of surfaces.
Non-stick PTFE film provides an exceptionally slick surface for easy clean-up.

The Featherlite Series is designed specifically for our Featherlite
product line. Just as its name suggests,
Featherlite is an ultra-light filler formulated for cast polymer applications as a means to reduce product
weight. Currently, the Featherlite Series entails:
FL-12, offering a 12% weight reduction with a resin demand of 25%
FL-20, offering a 20% weight reduction with a resin demand of 27%
FL-30, offering a 30% weight reduction with a resin demand of 37%
FL-50, offering a 50% weight reduction with a resin demand of 47%
FL-1000, offering a 50% weight reduction with a resin demand of 50%*
FL-1700 is a concentrate, offering a variable 5 to 50% weight reduction depending on the amount
used.
FL-1500 is similar to the FL-1700 product line, but with a lower true density.
Each of the Featherlite products come ready-to-use with the addition of resin. A standard marble resin is all
that is required when using Featherlite. With its bright white color, which requires little or no
titanium dioxide, Featherlite is an attractive alternative to other products on the market.
Products made with Featherlite have shown to have a better thermal shock performance
than those without. Featherlite incorporates plastic micro spheres, which have an elastic property that
allows the sphere to stretch and compress while subjected to stress. This elasticity will absorb stress
and significantly reduce the likelihood of stress fractures and cracking. The end result is better thermal cycle
with little to no stress cracks caused from hot cures in the mold.

Applications
Used in polyester resin casting
applications
Direct replacement for cultured marble
Ideal for backfilling large tubs and
shower pans
Key Benefits
Dramatically improves flexural strength
Enhances thermal cycle performance
Increase impact resistance
Lower VOC emissions
