This individual will play a key role in identifying, leading, and implementing performance improvement initiatives across multiple distribution centers. With a focus on establishing and driving measurable gains in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), this role will work across the company to build a culture of continuous improvement. Although this position has no direct reports, you will be a leader through influence, coaching, and collaboration with team across the company, stakeholders, and management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessment of current business processes, identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks; challenge stakeholders on their assumptions and understand the “why” to distinguish needs from wants.
  • Establish and/or analyze operational data to identify performance gaps and opportunities in labor productivity, delivery accuracy, waste reduction, customer/supplier data and pricing models, and quality metrics.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to analyze information, define and prioritize requirements, evaluate potential solutions, recommend actionable improvements to enhance productivity and streamline operations, and communicate status and potential project risks to the Dir of Operations.
  • Elicit, document, track requirements for changes, and develop clear policies, SOP’s, work instructions, workflow diagrams, and data systems to represent both “as-is” and “to-be” processes.
  • Be the requirements subject matter expert; ensure details of processes are documented, understood, and vetted with stakeholders such as triggers that initiate the process, suppliers and consumers of information, tasks and activities, tools used to execute the process, metrics that monitor process and business health.
  • Perform stakeholder analysis and ensure appropriate stakeholders are proactively included to ensure early buy-in of the to-be state improving adoption.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings / training with team members, stakeholders, and management as necessary to effectively meet KPIs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of direct work experiences in a Business Analyst capacity, including all aspects of process improvement and execution.
  • Problem-solving mindset with excellent interpersonal skills including communication, diplomacy, negotiating, and reasoning to influence change with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders proactively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the business analysis skills, including process and data-driven analysis experience with strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management, Agile/SCRUM principles.
  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes using process modeling tools such as Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, LucidChart, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
  • Understanding of Enterprise Level Platforms (Syspro Preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize simultaneous initiatives independently and concurrently while identifying opportunities for collaboration across teams at different levels of the organization.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Formal training/certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management (BPM), Agile/Scrum certification
  • Project Management (PMI) training and/or experience
  • 3+ years previous leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, or distribution environment. Growth mindset oriented toward continuous improvement and exceeding the expectations of our customers.
  • Strong understanding of receiving, inventory management, shipping, and relevant regulations, best practices.
  • Great communication skills set (oral and written) with an ability to inspire our team members, ensuring that everyone is well informed and has clarity toward the business objectives.
  • Proven track record of building and developing teams
  • Ability to combine observations & real-world scenarios with an analytical data-driven approach to arrive at innovative solutions collaboratively.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for maintaining system wide accuracy.
  • Comfortable interacting with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a diversified and heavy workload meeting deadlines.

Proficient computer usage:

  • SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams experience
  • MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn internal database and software systems

Pay

In accordance with California’s labor code, the expected salary pay range for this position is between $65,000 to $75,000 annually. A new hire’s actual pay will be determined based on experience, skillset, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
