Kalitta Motorsports Relationship Continues

Kalitta Motorsports Relationship Continues

YPSILANTI, MI (February 11, 2022) — Kalitta Motorsports and Revchem Composites are entering the third year of their marketing and technical support sponsorship with the beginning of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, February 18-20, at the NHRA Winternationals. The relationship continually grows as Revchem utilizes Kalitta Motorsports’ VIP hospitality and B2B program to increase brand awareness. As an industry leading composite materials distributor and technical resource Revchem is involved with many industries, from surfing to aerospace and everything in between. They have entertained existing and potential customers in the race team’s VIP hospitality area throughout the racing season across the country. Revchem’s increased branding will be recognizable across all three Kalitta Motorsports racecars during the 2022 season.

“We have seen our relationship grow with Revchem over the past two years. Their sponsorship has helped the Revchem brand become recognized as the composite distributor of choice in the NHRA. We are their primary promotional tool,” said Chad Head, Kalitta Motorsports general manager. “We have introduced them to teams and sponsors with the understanding that anyone can utilize their materials in any sport or industry. In addition, their relationship and input with our fab shop have been a huge plus to our technical development.”

Revchem has expanded its customer base with Kalitta Motorsports’ other partners through the twice-a-year B2B events. An example of this cross-over led to their involvement both, on the product and materials sides, with the development and design of the new Toyota GR Supra Funny Car body. They have also helped educate and provide products to the Kalitta Motorsports fabrication department, making the team’s racecars lighter and stronger.

“We are all very excited to begin our third year supporting Kalitta Motorsports. Their commitment to teamwork and winning is truly an inspiration for all involved,” said Pete Pendleton, President of Revchem Composites. “The hospitality and professionalism of Kalitta Motorsports has offered us opportunities to invite our customers to the races. These shared experiences have strengthened our relationships by providing a rare chance to be submerged inside the hive of a winning race team. Our involvement with Kalitta has opened doors for us not only within the NHRA but many other motorsports divisions. As a result, the Revchem Composites brand is recognized nationally and growing with every race.”

Kalitta Motorsports and Revchem Composites will continue to educate fans on the composite’s products integrated into these 330 miles per hour race cars, enhancing performance and safety as the season unfolds. Revchem brings a wealth of knowledge to the NHRA from a diverse customer base and solutions and processes found in the aerospace and watersports industries.

Continued Sponsorship: SR-1 Project

Continued Sponsorship: SR-1 Project

Revchem is happy to continue our sponsorship with the SR-1 Project! Looking forward to watching this project develop. Many of you may remember the SR-1 tail section on display in our booth at the CAMX show in Long Beach 2019.

The SR-1 Project builds on the legacy of legendary record setters in the FAI c-1a/0 class. This is the lightest record class: aircraft must weight less than 661lbs at takeoff, including pilot and fuel. With recent advancements in powerplants and lightweight components, our goal is to push the current record of 223mph to 275+mph. For regular updates, check us out at facebook.com/TheSR1Project.

History of the C-1a/0 class
The FAI (Federation Aeronautique Internationale) is the governing body that certifies aviation records. To make records meaningful, the FAI categorizes propeller-driven aircraft, gliders, balloons, etc. separately, and each category is further organized by weight (it makes no sense to compare a P-51 with an ultralight even if both are prop-driven airplanes). For C-1a/0, the C indicates a land plane (vs. a sea plane), -1 indicates power is provided by a reciprocating engine, and a/0 is the takeoff weight of the aircraft, in this case <300kg (661lbs). Although there are hundreds of record types recognized by FAI, the two most prestigious in each class are generally recognized as the 3km Absolute speed and Time to climb 3000 meters.

2021 Brand Presence – NHRA

2021 Brand Presence – NHRA

As the 2021 NHRA season advanced to its fifth race of the season Revchem Composites, one of the leading composite distribution companies in the United States, is increasing their branding presence on Shawn Langdon’s DHLKalitta Air Top Fuel Dragster to include branding on the highly visible rear wing.

Revchem Composites, which is celebrated its 46th anniversary this month, has a wide range of applications and business interests that stretch from aerospace and military applications to movies, marine, surf, and the sports industries. As a family-owned and operated business, Revchem Composites has been an active exhibitor at SEMA and PRI for many years, so the affiliation with Kalitta Motorsports was a natural extension of that history.

“Everyone at Revchem Composites was excited about extending our relationship with the Kalitta Motorsports group as we prepared to embrace the 2021 NHRA: Championship Drag Racing Camping World Drag Racing Season. Additional branding on Shawn’s Top Fuel dragster adds to this effort,” said Pete Pendleton, President of Revchem Composites, Inc. “We are looking forward to continuing to build outstanding new business to business relationships, both on and off the track with all the other valuable sponsorship partners who support Team Kalitta”.
